Very cute book. Although I am a dog person, I now have a cat. I had gotten How to Live with a Neurotic Cat & liked it so when I saw How to Live with a Neurotic Dog, I ordered 2 copies as gifts for friends who have dogs. Whether it's cats or dogs, any owner will, I believe, see themselves or the cats or dogs that own them in the pages of these books. They are a fun read & I'm sure will be kept or passed on to the next animal lover.
My mother has a Doberman.... I'm sure anyone that has the same breed understands why I bought this book for her. Needless to say, she loved it.
Bought for a gift but I started looking through it. And had to read it. It's not only funny but true. Anyone who has owned or now has a doggy in their lives will see the humor and themselves in many of the chapters
Sitting in the Vet's office, I picked up this book to pass the time. Within seconds I was laughing quietly, recognizing myself and my friends on every page. While this is an older book, I had no trouble finding it through and purchased a copy for several of my friends, as well as myself. A light read, this book will have you chuckling for days ~ a must for dog owners. I understand there is a cat version as well. Good job, Mr. Baker.
Hilarious. Definitely not a "hot to" book in the traditional point of view, but makes you feel a lot better about living with your precious fur baby. The illustrations help drive the joy of dog ownership home.
